Autoethnography as a research method

Thursday February 4th.  A lecture from Alex Franklin, followed by a seminar with Paul Hurley.  I didn’t feel greatly enlightened by either session but have done the reading and some of the further reading.  Alex, in true authethnograpic style used some of her own experiences in research to illustrates some of the strengths and pitfalls of this approach, though I think the pitfalls were more evident.

In the seminar we paired off and discussed the practical application of the above to our own situation, and would it be useful.
