Printed Relief workshop

Thursday February 4th.  This was a practical workshop with Ryan Brown, in the ceramics room in Fabrication.  Ryan went through the layout of the ceramics work areas and the basic procedures, health and safety &c.  Then we got down to using clay to make relief surfaces which were then cast in plaster.  I went though this and completed a piece but it cracked and I did not go further.  Ryan explained the use of silicone gel to make a relief from the plaster.  Most enjoyable.  I will return to this at a future date.
