Research Essay – illustrations optional

I’m using Participatory Action Research and involving my fellow students and as the essay concerns textiles and tee shirts I am making a series of them.

The First Tee Shirt

This is meant to reflect – in a mildly humorous way – a (my) student’s response to the essay question and the related lectures and seminars.  Awkwardness, confusion, evasion, false starts, dead ends and misunderstandings, alongside some insight and realisation of the task ahead.

First-Tee-Shirt-Awkward
Tee shirt is white cotton, print made using giclee (ink jet) and iron-on transfer paper.

I wore this tee shirt on the afternoon of February 11th, eliciting a number of responses from fellow students, mostly positive, some baffled. I didn’t attempt to quantify these, just listened.
