Horta House, Brussels

December 2015.  The Horta House and Museum is certainly worth a visit, even on a rainy December afternoon in a nervous Brussels – shortly after the December 2015 attacks in Paris.  There is a wealth of Art Nouveau information here, the house itself is almost unaltered from the original.  Although there are many Art Nouveau frontages in Brussels nothing rivals the interior of this building.  How comfortable it was to live in is not so obvious; the house feels formal and complex, sometimes cold and quite hard amidst the curves and the wood grain.
