February 2016. Yeates: The Life and Works of William Butler Yeats is a long running exposition at the National Library in Dublin. Created in a dedicated space, designed and decorated to evoke the period of the late 19th and early 20th Century in Dublin, this expo succeeds wonderfully. Many manuscripts and artefacts are presented in a friendly, often cosy way; there are poems and plays, Celtic mysticism, the private and the public man.
The expo is successfully realised online in a virtual recreation of the physical gallery with easy access to additional material. Yeats was also a founder of the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, which I visited while in Dublin to see Cyprus Avenue.
